My campaign has been awarded the 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction. This is not an endorsement. Instead, it is a signal to all supporters, volunteers, and voters across the country that a candidate advocates for gun violence prevention and will govern with gun safety in mind. Receiving the distinction also allows local Moms Demand Action volunteers to participate in any publicly listed field events that my campaign hosts.

Nobody has or ever will be coming for your guns. I would never advocate for a mandatory nation-wide disarmament. I love guns. Hell, I'm a retired Marine. We love "range therapy." But I do not tolerate the rhetoric from 2A ammosexuals. I support policies that would ensure children, felons, and those diagnosed as mentally ill or unstable do not have unrestricted access to guns. When I was active duty, all guns had to be kept in the armory when on base. You don't sleep with them under your pillow or have them in an unsecured china cabinet. If you had a domestic violence incident, all guns were removed from our property (on or off base housing) and you were not allowed on the rifle range (even for annual training) while that restriction was in effect. If our warfighters have safe storage laws and red flag laws, why wouldn't anyone else?

This is not an encroachment on the 2A. Two things can be true at the same time. And if the good guys with guns want to stop the bad guys with guns, it's much easier when we prevent bad guys from getting guns on the first place. How can we tell who is good or bad? Screening them.
